How do I test my childs toys for toxins?

Postby Mouse » Tue Jun 09, 2015 12:22 pm

I just got my first heavy metals urine test and now I'm concerned with exposure from his toys. How can I test them for cadmium and lead.
Chelation may be on the table, but if my kid has a problem excreting heavy metals and toxins on his own I'd like to eliminate them from the home too the best I can. Has anyone else done this?

Never mind. After a lucky search and more digging I found this: http://www.niton.com/en/toys-consumer-g ... tions/toys
Australians consumer safety or whatever they are called uses something like this and will test your kids products for free.

This machine is out of reach at roughly 30K! they are rentable for about 1,500/week which I'm actually considering.
